TSN’s Darren Dreger reported on Friday morning that he anticipates an announcement soon, possibly as early as next Tuesday:
Dreger: I know that the Maple Leafs have gone the distance with Craig Berube. As we are having this conversation, I would be surprised if he is not the next head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I know that Brad Treliving has done his due diligence. He had an extended interview with Todd McLellan. He has talked to others individuals. He has vetted all the top candidates.
I thought they would have it done by today — end of week.
