Brian Schmetzer has brought the Seattle Sounders back from the brink before. With a veteran-heavy roster that is being held together by duct tape, however, can Schmetzer turn the Sounders season around in time to salvage the season’s goals once again? The Sounders season is looking familiar and Schmetzer is looking to get some results before the summer reinforcements arrive.
Greg Vanney is also dealing with injury issues, however. Jozy Altidore is again having hamstring issues, while across the defense, as many as five players could be absent through injury — Nick Hagglund, Drew Moor, Chris Mavinga, Justin Morrow, Eriq Zavaleta.
